MPC5200 PowerPC Processor PMC
The PrPMC520 is a PMC processor board based on the MPC5200 PowerPC, designed for use in industrial applications. Highly integratable and cost-effective, the PrPMC520 is well suited for networking, industrial control, and automotive applications.
The PrPMC520 is an MPC5200 based processor board meant for applications with low power consumption and high performance in harsh environments. It is the centre of the Low Power Data Acquisition System (LpDAS), but it can also be used as a standard processor card on a PMC carrier card, and act as a single board computer.
The PrPMC520 has a maximum of 256MB SDRAM and a maximum of 128MB flash memory to store your data and application program.
Besides the MPC5200, the PrPMC520 has a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for flexible solutions, making it possible to have several different I/O interfaces, for example, ARINC-429/573, serial interface, USB1.1, digital I/O, MIL-STD-1533. Standard available interface includes:

As the PrPMC520 is a conduction cooled PMC card, the interface connections are through the rear I/O. We provide PIM cards for storing, managing and optimising data, and a development carrier card is also available for software development purposes to support connectors and signal conditioning. The PrPMC520 can be delivered with an OS-less software support for the GNU development environment with optional TCP/IP stack and is able to run various operating systems such as VxWorks, Embedded Linux, Integrity and many more.
